Captured in April 2024, this photograph of Franklin Falls was one of the most challenging shots I’ve taken in a while. The weather was relentless—a mix of rain and snow that soaked through my jacket, bag, and even my gear. Mist from the falls kept covering my lens, and I had to stop constantly to wipe it clean while my frozen hands struggled to keep steady. It wasn’t an easy shoot, but the result is something I’m proud of.

This image showcases the rugged beauty of Franklin Falls, with its powerful cascade framed by steep cliffs and the raw, untamed landscape of the Pacific Northwest. It’s a shot that reminds me why I love what I do, even when nature throws everything at me.
